History
The Art of Good Taste is the premier fundraising event for the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Now entering it’s 18th year, the Art of Good Taste has grown from a single wine auction in the late eighties, to four main events: the Fleming’s Wine Dinner, Brooks Uncorked, the Patrons Dinner and the Grand Auction, plus several popular Warm Up to Wine classes offered throughout the year. Each year the Art of Good Taste attracts renowned chefs and prominent international vintners.
Since the early 1990s,
The Art of Good Taste has contributed over $3 million in net revenue to the Brooks. Unique to the Brooks wine auction is the expense to revenue ratio; we are proud to direct more than 70 percent of all monies raised from these events back into programming and museum operations.
